We are offering a series of five workshops for memoirists and biographers who want to see their manuscripts published within the year. We work with authors organizing the material, deciding the format, polishing the writing and marketing the book.

  • January 12:
    Getting Started On Your Memoir
  • January 26:
Finding Your Voice, Seeing Your Story
  • February  9:
5 Routes to Publishing Your Memoir
  • February 23:
    Polishing Your Writing
  • March  9:
Marketing Your Memoir in the Age Of Internet

In five intensive three-hour workshops, veteran editor Ellen E.M. Roberts, along with memoir coach Jerry Waxler and web administrator John Hailu, directs memoirists and biographers from the first draft to a publication plan. You will learn how to publish your own memoir or work with commercial publishers. The writing, the pictures, the design and the presentation will be covered for projects large (400 pages) and small (4 pages).

The focus of these seminars is creating a memoir that can be enjoyed by others, whether they are family members or colleagues, the general public or a handful of friends and neighbors. Each participant is expected to have a work in progress that s/he wants to sell to a publisher or to readers direct.
